Hello, my name is Vanessa Torres. I started dancing since I was 7 years old in my church. I did my first dance special with my sister and my love for dance grew. I was enrolled in ballet classes for a year. The rest of my experience has been in my church’s dance ministry. I had a few different leaders who helped me grow to become confident in dancing in front of people and my skills. I have been the dancer leader in my church for 11 Years.
I teach liturgical dancing from 9 years age to adults . There will be a class called praise dance, where you can learn this type of dancing. Dancing is my passion! Since little I’ve always dreamed of having a dance studio. Finally, after 27 years I am opening a place for kids, youth and even adults who want to learn and have fun dancing.
I previously was a preschool teacher at an autism school! Now after finishing my master in Special Education. A Special education teacher. I created a class where kids with special needs and disabilities can come and just dance. That class will be called Gotta Dance!
After dancing, special education is very close to my heart and I wanted to incorporate it in my dance studio. Because I know a lot of kids with special needs and disabilities don’t have many places to go to, just to have fun and have people who are willing to work with them. So welcome to Esperanza Dance Studio. And thank you for making my dreams come true!
